Day 2 of Miami: I’ve been getting up fairly early these days and today didn’t disappoint, I was up early enough to head to the gym for a cardio workout, sort of get ready, pack my supplies and wait downstairs in the lobby for 10:20am call time.
We head to MTV for a few recorded interviews and then directly to Miami Beach for the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam. There was a massive concert stage set up right on the beach and it was incredibly sunny and beautiful out. I just loved sunning myself in front of the speakers and feeling the intensity of the music as it rattled all the cells in my body. Earplugs were essential.
Post rehearsal, we went back to the hotel for a bit of rest and I stole this golden opportunity to head to the gym for a shoulder workout. 1 hour later, we where on our way back to the trailers at the beach to get ready for the evenings performance.
Right before my client went on stage a rainstorm started to come down but this didn’t sway the crowd, they had amazing energy and stayed throughout the storm. I watched from back stage and loved the music , sand in my feet, and the ability to stand outside in the rain and not feel cold. Having the ocean in the background was such an inspiring backdrop for a concert this size.
My client was going to wear a fantastic pair of high heels but at the last minute switched into running shoes for safety, the stage was all wet and the switch in foot wear allowed for a very energetic performance with lots of jumping. Those jump squats really paid off :)
Post show, we traveled back to our hotel I got my client her post concert meal and I was completely thrilled that my super BFF Sabrina was in town! She came over and we talked and talked and talked on the balcony as the DJ in the hotel gave us perfect background music into the wee hours of the morning.
