This morning started out as usual. I did some food preparation and packing. I made 6 meals and snacks, all individually packed up in a lunch bag for my client along with a menu card that detailed the meals and what time they should be eaten. I find this helps to ensure that meals are eaten at regular intervals to keep the metabolism up and an even blood sugar level.
Then something very interesting happened. While I was in the gym working out my client, I was approached by Hillary Swank asking if I could train her! Apparently, she really liked the exercises I was doing with my client. Wow! I was super flattered that such an amazing actress, (Oscar winning actress) came up to ask me to train her. (And a little surprised she was here for Super Bowl too.) As I was already working out with my client, and in that moment, I felt like I was being a big cheater talking to someone else. So unfortunately, I didn’t get to work with her today. Maybe I’ll run into her again sometime!
After my client went to the studio, the day was mine to enjoy and I promptly went off to my own workout. As I was doing cardio, I received a wonderful message from a friend who was also in Miami asking if I wanted to go for a ride on a 65-ft yacht from Miami to Ft Lauderdale. It didn't take me very long to make the decision to get my workout done and ass out the door to get to the marina on time!Kathryn, Sabrina and I happily joined the group at the marina and set forth to Ft Lauderdale. As soon as we boarded, we started our own mini photo shoot all around the boat. It was a magical day on the water.
Upon arrival back to Miami, I head over to Whole Foods to pick up healthy meals and snacks. I brought Sabrina to Tasti Di Light (no guilt ice cream shop) and then we crashed from all the fresh air. What a great way to end the day.
An hour later, I got back to the hotel, trained with weights then very happily sat and enjoyed the Super Bowl. Go Saints! In my hotel with a big screen, HD and surround sound (I don’t have a TV at home so this is all a big treat for me).
I’m enjoying my last day in Miami before my trip back to the cold for the exciting Winter Olympics in Vancouver Canada.
